The second stop of the 2010 Main Event Series went down this past weekend at Connecticut's finest: Ski Sundown. We were lucky to have bluebird skies and t-shirt weather, in what could hardly be described as a mid-January day. Stepping it up from the first stop, Josh Lempert of Snowgrind pushed what can only be called a picture-perfect booter. A set of rails followed by the 50 foot jump proved to be a true challenge for the competitors. After a series of big spins, and big crashes, Burlington, Vermont's Jesse Curran came away with the win for Pro Men, stomping a solid rail run and backside 720. Chris Squier took the prize for the Am Men and Brandon Mann killed it in the Micron (13 & under) division.

The Main Event Series has added some serious stature this season…  The series is recognized globally now as part of the Swatch TTR event schedule for up to eleven points.   Four wildcards are up for grabs to the U.S. Open, along with tons of cash and prizes.  The overall points winner of the series this year wins a free trip to Argentina to attend a SASS camp session this summer. With everything on the line, riders are gunning for the gold Main Event Championship belts harder than ever before!

As we continue to make moves throughout New England looking for the best riders, be sure to check for updates on points and rankings.

Many thanks to everyone that helps this event continue to grow!  To the riders, family,  friends, and sponsors.  Flow Snowboards, Redbull, Burton, Snowgrind, SASS, NXTZ, Dekal, TTR, Fuse Marketing, Gigunda Group, Anon, R.E.D., Rye Airfield, and your local Snowboard Shops.
