Carlsbad, CA. March 21, 2005- Pro Snowboarder, Leanne Pelosi, fresh off her Gravity Games Rail Jam Gold Medal and winning SG Magazine’s “Queen of the Mountain” this past weekend has signed with The Familie.

“We are very excited about the addition of Leanne. She is one of the sport’s most amazing riders and will be for a long time. She loves to snowboard! She is always smiling; I think she’s so good because she really loves what she’s doing. When you see her at an event, she is always upbeat & positive. We look forward to working with her, she has such energy about her, she has a very bright future and I’m glad we will be a part of it,” said Todd Hahn, Executive Director at the Familie.

“After being on the fence for awhile of deciding whether or not to go with an agent, I finally decided that working with Todd Hahn and The Familie will definitely be advantageous in that I can just focus more on my riding, and concentrate on the business side of the industry part-time. In between traveling, competing and organizing MGT camps, I was really getting behind. I feel that the Familie is a great athlete management company, with an already super sick team, so I am excited to take on new opportunities with them into the future, “said Pelosi.

Leanne has co-founded/co-organized an all-girls camp called “MGT Snowboard Camp”, the camp is all about teaching and improving girls’ freestyle riding.” We teach these girls freestyle tricks over a period of two days and you can tell a big difference in their riding level and their confidence from the day they get there to the day they leave. They just get so stoked. You see them falling and getting back up and trying again,” said Pelosi.

Next up for Leanne is The US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT this up coming weekend. Also look for her video part in MissChief’s Films’ fall release “Project MissChief”.

Leanne is sponsored by: K2 Snowboards, thirty-two Boots, Etnies, Dragon Optical, GMC, Nikita, Bonfire, MGT Snowboard Camp, Lifetime, and Vital Boardshop
