SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (January 08, 2008) — K2 Snowboarding is proud to announce the resigning of the talented and inspiring Leanne Pelosi to the International Pro Team for another 3 blissful years.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Miss Pelosi originally exploded onto the scene in 2004 through a string of contest wins at the US Open, Gravity Games, Van’s Triple Crown, SG Magazine’s “Queen of the Mountain and many others as well as being awarded the Transworld SNOWboarding “Rookie of the Year. Since then Leanne continues to be a major influence in pushing women’s snowboarding in a positive and progressive direction. She has been awarded “Rider of the Year and “Reader’s Choice awards from TWS, Snowboarder’s “Female Rider of the Year and consistently displays her versatility through her inspiring video parts with Runway films and her ability to excel on the contest scene. Leanne currently holds down the top honors of Transworld Exposure meter for women and placed third overall.

We just finished our sales meeting in Whistler, and I feel very lucky to be involved with the development of products that continue to be the best ever!!! Based out of Whistler this season Leanne is busy filming with Runway Films, helping the new crop of female riders with her MGT Snowboard camps, and traveling to numerous contests across the world.
