Keystone Extends Spring Hours

KEYSTONE, Colo — March 29, 2007 — Spring showers may bring May flowers to most places, but at Keystone Resort in Colorado almost three feet of March spring snow showers brings longer ski and snowboard hours. Night skiing at Keystone was set to end Sunday, April 1. But, thanks to more than 15 inches of fresh powder this week and more snow predicted for this weekend, Keystone’s extending its operating hours for skiing and snowboarding until 6 p.m. the first week of April.

Keystone was planning to switch to a 9 a.m. — 4 p.m. schedule starting Monday, April 2, continuing through closing day (April 15), but thanks to later sunsets caused by the earlier Daylight Savings Time, the timing of the Easter holiday and almost three feet of March snow showers, Keystone announced today that it’ll extend its skiing and snowboarding hours until 6 p.m. giving skiers and riders 14 extra hours on the slopes the first week of April. The Montezuma, Summit Express and A51 chairlifts at Keystone will remain open until 6 p.m. April 2-8. Operating hours will change to 9 a.m. — 4 p.m. April 9-15.
