The largest winter storm in recent history has blanketed Mountain High in the San Gabriel Mountains with an incredible nine feet of new snow in six days. This is the most snow Mountain High has ever received at one time including the famed El Nino season of 1997/98. Ski Patrol huts are buried. Attendants can walk on to the top of lift shacks. Conditions are beyond belief and resort operators are as busy digging out chair lifts and trail maps as they are enjoying the fresh powder.
