Fuel’s 54321 Premieres Sept. 18

Wednesday, September 15, 2004 — FSN and FUEL, in conjunction with Quiksilver Entertainment, will premiere FUEL’S 54321 WEEKLY UPDATE, the new, fast-paced half-hour weekly spin-off of FSN’s original 54321, this Saturday, September 18th on FSN, with additional viewing opportunities on FUEL throughout the weekend.

The premiere episode of FUEL’S 54321 WEEKLY UPDATE will feature complete coverage of the LG Action Sports Championships taking place at the Los Angeles County Fair in Southern California, plus highlights from the Vans Triple Crown of Freestyle Motocross in Phoenix and the Quiksilver Pro Japan, an ASP WCT surf contest. The premiere will also recap the recent TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards, and will have an exclusive one-on-one interview with skateboard legend Christian Hosoi, who was recently released from prison after serving a four-year sentence for drug possession.

Brent Ringenbach, formerly a sports anchor and reporter at KCPQ-TV in Seattle, will be the host of FUEL’s 54321 WEEKLY UPDATE. Born in Auburn, Washington as the youngest of three sons of a high school football, basketball and baseball coach, Brent has been a sports enthusiast his entire life; in addition to participating in traditional sports, Brent started BMX racing at age 10, while on the snow front he started skiing at the age of five and continues to free ski today. In the summer months, Brent wakeboards on Washington’s scenic Lake Sammamish. A Broadcast Journalism graduate of San Diego State University, Brent first worked at KNSD-TV in San Diego before making his way back to the Pacific Northwest. He executive produced and reported for the Seattle Mariners’ magazine show, “On Deck with the Mariners, on Seattle’s CBS affiliate and after five years moved to local FOX affiliate KCPQ as a sports anchor/reporter.
