DENVER, Colo. (Sept. 9, 2015) -- With 25 tons of snow, snowboard film premieres, rail jams and skate demos; live music, food and drinks, and much more, Downtown Denver will be the place to be this Saturday, Sept. 12th for the third annual 2015 Snowboard on the Block Festival powered by SNOWBOARDER and TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly.
A highlight of the festival, the Van Doren Pro Jam presented by Van's "Off The Wall" will take place in the middle of the event set up, amidst 25 tons of snow, from 2 to 3 pm. The pro rail jam will feature some of the top snowboarders in the world including reigning champion Scotty Vine, X-Games Real Snow competitor Dylan Thompson, and crowd favorite Lucas Magoon.
Past competitors Riley Nickerson, Mike Ravelson and Nial Romanek will join newcomers Jeremy Cloutier, Frank Bourgeois, Erik Leon, Ben Bogart and Jesse Paul to create a well rounded lineup of veteran pros and fresh talent. Local Colorado pros will also be on tap including Dylan Alito, Andrew Brewer and Brendan Gerard.
New to Snowboard on the Block this year, the Monster Army Am Jam (12:30 to 1:30 pm) will give less recognized snowboarders a chance to compete on the same course as the pros with the winner earning a wildcard spot into the Pro Jam later in the day. This year's festival also features two outdoor stages with headlining acts Suicidal Tendencies and Talib Kweli and highly anticipated snowboarding film premieres from top production companies such as SNOWBOARDER, Absinthe Films, Videograss, Déjà Vu, TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING, Think Thank and more. A massive gear sale, skate demo, product giveaways and food and drinks from many favorite local vendors all in one spot will round out the day.
