The last few years have been tough for many shops, and in the Pacific Northwest this winter has been even tougher. But that hasn’t stopped Seattle, Washington-based evo from expanding its operations to include a Portland, Oregon location and growing its team. Today, evo announced that it added Lucas Debari to its snowboard roster, including Austin Smith, Kimmy Fasani, and Brandon Cocard.

"It is rad to link up with evo,” Lucas said. “From the community events here in the Northwest, to being the top retailer around, evo is a consistent and solid contributor to the snowboard community."

Growing up in Glacier, Washington, at the foot of Mt. Baker, Lucas has been well-recognized in the Northwest snowboard scene for over a decade. In recent years, he’s become know as one of the most progressive big mountain snowboarders, earning him a spot on the long list of professional riders who have cut their teeth on the terrain that only Baker offers.

This year, Lucas is spending his season working on a video part with Absinthe Films, taking a break from long, snowboard-mountaineering expeditions, and getting back to his freestyle roots.
