North Conway, NH, January 22, 2001: The 24th Annual Race to Beat Cancer isscheduled for February 4, at Cranmore Mountain Resort. Sponsored by theAmerican Cancer Society, recreational racers enjoy a fun-filled day atCranmore. This year’s goal is to raise $25,000.

Those looking to participate must raise at least $100 in pledges.Registration is from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at Cranmore’s North Base Lodge. Racinggets underway from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and awards will be presented at 2:30PM.

What’s special about this event is that nearly half the participants eachyear come from the North Conway area. In addition sixty percent of themonies raised go directly to local and state programs on education,awareness, patient screening and client services.
