Community Cup and Supergirl Snow Pro Join Forces to Create the Only Major All-Girls Pro Snowboarding Slopestyle Competition in the U.S.


For the past six years, the Supergirl Jam Series has been the only major all-girls action sport competition series in the world. Featuring the top female athletes in skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding, the Supergirl Snow Pro decided to take it a step further this year and partner up with Community Cup to create the only televised all-girls World Snowboard Tour event in the U.S. in Breckenridge, Colorado on Saturday, April 6th.  The goal is to create an event that will showcase the best of women’s snowboarding alongside featuring the lifestyle of professional female snowboarders through music, yoga workshops and other empowering female-inspired activities. The event will also focus on eco-awareness and sustainability through the help of organizations such as Non-Toxic Revolution, Keep A Breast, Protect Our Winters, Plastic Pollution Coalition, 5Gyres and OneLife. Indialantic, FL (March 20, 2013) – ASA Entertainment, a leading producer of action sports event and television programming in the U.S., announced today that the Supergirl Jam Series is combining forces with the Community Cup to form the only televised all-girls World Snowboard Tour sanctioned event in the US, at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Admission to the event, which will take place on April 6, 2013, is free to the public.

The event will serve as a showcase for the best of women's snowboarding in a contest completely designed by the riders.  While 2013 marks the first Supergirl Snow Pro and Community Cup partnership at Breck, the event marks the seventh year of the Supergirl Jam Series women's snowboarding competition.

In addition to the best female snowboarders on the planet, the event will feature music, yoga workshops and other female-inspired activities.  The event supports eco-awareness and sustainability efforts through organizations like the Non-Toxic Revolution, Keep-A-Breast, Protect Our Winters, Plastic Pollution Coalition, 5Gyres and One Life.

Twenty-five of the top snowboarders in the world will compete in the event, including stars Spencer O’Brien,  Torah Bright, Kjersti Buaas, Sarka Pancochova, Silje Norendal, Sina Candrian, Christy Prior, Shelly Gotlieb, Celia Miller, Cilka Sadar, Helene Olafsen, Silvia Mittermuller, Aimee Fuller, Rebecca Torr, Stefi Luxton, Jordie Karlinski, Jenny Jones, Ty Walker, Isabelle Lalive and many more.

This is the first event of the 2013 Supergirl Jam Series, the action sports industry's only large-scale all-female competition and lifestyle series.  Developed as a celebration of female empowerment, the Supergirl Jam Series features more than 150 top female pros competing in snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing as well as 'girl-power' activities at events held throughout the year.
