Boreal Banked Slalom and Brewfest Madness

Boreal has recently celebrated their 50 year anniversary in the snowsports industry and what better way to celebrate than with a banked slalom and a brewfest? Boreal’s first annual event featured a costumed snowboard race to raise money for the HighFives Foundation which is a non-profit organization committed to raising money and awareness for athletes who have suffered life-altering injuries while chasing their dreams in the winter action sports community.

The Boreal park crew, led by Lane Knaack put some incredibly hard work making the course an epic raceway that snaked all the way down the mountain, through the halfpipe, and into the park section. All of the top riders from all around the area came out to support and shred the original Jibasic park including Chris Roach and Roan Rogers.

Needless to say, the event had a huge turnout and was a big success. The party raged all day long with live music right next to the course and thousands of dollars were raised through the beers and shredding. If you missed it, bummer! Keep an eye out for next year’s Slalom and Brewfest!
