Aspen/Snowmass Spring Jam

Aspen/Snowmass, CO., February 19, 2007 — Aspen/Snowmass announces free concerts during the 7th annual Bud Light Spring Jam held March 22-25. Both JJ Grey & MOFRO and Ozomatli will be headlining shows that highlight one of the Rocky Mountain region’s greatest spring celebrations.

The final free Bud Light HiFi Concert of the season will be held at the end of the Snowmass Mall on Thursday, March 22 at 7pm featuring JJ Grey & MOFRO. JJ Grey and his band MOFRO exude rocking, funky, melodic, front porch realism in every song they play. The band delivers their material with brilliant musicianship, resulting in music that is thought provoking, rhythmically dynamic and texturally mesmerizing. The next night, Friday, March 23, head to downtown Aspen for a free show by the legendary Ozomatli on the corner of Cooper and Galena Streets during the Core Party at 8:30pm. The Core Party is the ultimate street party where skiers, riders, resort guests and locals can celebrate the spectacular conditions of spring with a festive downtown party.

Ozomatli is a multi-ethnic ten piece band, playing primarly Latin, hip-hop, and rock, that formed in 1996 in Los Angeles. They are known both for their extremely vocal activist viewpoints and their wide array of musical styles including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, and several other styles. For more information go to
