Alpine Meadows Ski Resort Reports Six Feet.

Lake Tahoe, CA. North Lake Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows Ski Resort has received six feet of new snow so far during the year end’s snowstorm at its mid mountain elevation. With continued snowfall and several additional feet of snow expected in the coming days, this storm could prove to be the season’s largest to date.

Current running snowstorm total at base lodge (6837′): 54″

Current running snowstorm total at mid mountain and above (7500′ +): 75″

This snowstorm will mean deep powder skiing and snowboarding for guests on holiday vacation now, and ensures quality snow conditions for the approaching New Year. “This huge amount of snow means great powder for not only the next few days, but great powder for the next month,” said Rachael Woods, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort spokesperson. “The amount of snow we’ve received so far is great, and the weather forecast is calling for much more. If you love snow, this is the place to be.”
