Zürich, Switzerland – September 7, 2010 –

Absinthe Films is proud to announce the release of their new feature snowboarding film, NowHere. For over a decade, Absinthe Films have remained focused on documenting snowboarding’s best riders in the most exotic, remote, and incredible locations around the world. NowHere  builds upon this legacy of dramatic and progressive riding captured up-close, giving viewers a high-impact look into the core of snowboarding. Producer Patrick Armbruster thinks, “Getting good snowboard footage is one thing pack it and wrap it another. I think it's one of those movies that just got the right flow on top of the action.”

NowHere features an eclectic mix of today’s best snowboarders – a dynamic variety of styles and personalities with just as much variety in terrain and locations. Absinthe veterans like Nicolas Müller, Gigi Rüf, and JP Solberg ride alongside newcomers Jake Blauvelt and Lucas Debari. Bode Merrill and Dan Brisse return with mind-numbing, all-terrain antics. The legendary Terje Haakonsen slashes in Japan with pow-surfer Wolfgang Nyvelt while Marie-France Roy and Annie Boulanger team up to push the women’s backcountry movement. True to their mantra of “Full-spectrum snowboarding,” NowHere has it all. As always, the locations in NowHere are epic: from the streets of Salt Lake City to the vertical steeps of Alaska to the European Alps to remote volcanoes in eastern Russia. Absinthe founder and film editor Justin Hostynek explains, “It was a rough season for a lot of peeps in our crew. Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, MFR and Bjorn Leines. A lot of heavy injuries and challenging snow conditions. But those of us who could, just kept getting after it for those who were sidelined and we ended up with one of strongest films we’ve ever made. The soundtrack is arguably our best ever.” Fans of snowboarding: wherever you are and whatever your tastes in snowboarding, NowHere will take you on a ride. You don’t want to miss it.

In support of this release, Absinthe Films and NowHere partners launch two massive premier tours: one in North America beginning August 28th and one in Europe beginning Sept. 7th.
