2010 ALT Games College Championship


CBS College Sports Network will host the 2010 Alt Games College Snowboarding and Freeskiing Championships from Catalyst Terrain Park at Copper Mountain, Colo. for the second consecutive year. The event features the Network's annual men's and women's snowboarding and freeskiing college championships, and takes place Saturday, April 10 during Copper Mountain's Sunsation music festival.  This event is part of the The Alt Games: College Action Sports Championships, an annual showcase of top college action sports championship events that is now in its fifth year.

Hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley, this event will showcase the top college men's and women's snowboarding and freeskiing athletes. Last year's event featured athletes from over 20 schools, including University of Colorado, BYU, West Virginia, Penn State, University of Vermont and University of Maine. The participants will be competing for a $7,000 prize purse.

Television coverage for The Alt Games kicks-off with the 2010 ALT GAMES PREVIEW SHOW on CBS College Sports Network on Thursday, April 15 (8:00 PM, ET).  The show launches ten weeks of sports specific coverage from the five venues hosting this year's competitions.  Coverage of the snowboarding and freeskiing competitions will premiere Sunday, April 25 and Thursday, April 29 (8:00 PM, ET; both nights). All of the action from Copper Mountain will also be included in a special one-hour Alt Games highlight show airing on CBS Sports on Saturday, June 19 (5:00 PM, ET).

Hundreds of competitors from colleges and universities nationwide will compete at the 2010 Alt Games, which will crown national men's and women's champions in both individual and team events.

Santa Barbara, Calif. (May 1-2) – Beach Volleyball
Reno, NV (May 8-9) – Kayak- Boatercross & Freestyle
San Diego, Calif. (May 15-16) – Wakeboarding, Flowboarding and Music Festival
Madison, WI (May 28-30) – UPA (Ultimate Frisbee)
