Leaking info about the event before it went down was not an option too much was on the line. Unlike anything else in snowboarding, the all new Team Shoot Out event focuses on creativitybut not just with the actual riding. The theme for the entire event is creativity itself. As media leaders, Transworld challenged the invited board teamsBurton, DC, Forum, and Rome to produce the ultimate terrain park shoot and document it in video and photos to showcase the visual power and possibility in snowboarding. Like the best riders, park builders, and media pros, the magazine seeks new perspectives. And with the Shoot Out, that's what we aimed for – but we never imagined it would go this far.

Chas Guldemond, Eric Jackson and Mark Landvik all have their own stories to tell about their Black Winter experience from life changing contest wins to heart pounding avalanches.

Friday, September 25: Level 1 Productions presents Refresh Never before has the sport of skiing changed and progressed so much, so quickly, as it has over the past decade. With changes in equipment, accessibility of terrain, and most importantly the mindset of some of the world's best athletes, skiing today is not what it once was… An integral part of these recent changes, Level 1 looks back and challenges perspectives of where the sport has come from, and where it's going in their tenth anniversary offering, "Refresh." Keeping true to their humble roots while exploring every arena that skiing has to offer the Level 1 crew serves up the most diverse ski entertainment to date. New things will never get old  fresh images of big jumps, deep powder, technical urban exploits, steep lines, and memorable terrain park action with a collection of the sport's best and brightest talent.
