Pro Setups: Chris Roach

TransWorld SNOWboarding Legend Award Winner

Chris Roach first strapped on a snowboard deck in 1985 and quickly ascended through the ranks with this powerful, skate-inspired style. Fast-forward 30 years, and Roach's approach to snowboard maintains a similar thread to when he started. "Not sure my style has changed much over the years, other than it's matured," Roach says. "Gear trends will come and go and there's nothing wrong with letting them pass freely. I prefer my Homeschool gear fitted well, with not too much bag and not too tight. You can’t go wrong with black pants and a colorful coat.” He's also a mitten man, and swears by them over their five-finger counterpart. "I have worn mittens for over 25 years, and I'm happy to be in design with Drop MFG for my signature mittens.
