DC is 20+ years deep pushing product progression. With a fearless approach to innovation and some of the world's best riders driving development, they are always doing what makes them who they are. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
With the 156 board, Tucknee boot, Company Jacket, and the Platoon Bib as submissions at our inaugural STOMP Summit in Aspen, DC highlighted a range of products that exemplify their drive for progression and innovation.
The 156MSRP: $499.95
New for this season, this DC board comes in only a single size, which just so happens to be their most requested length: a 156. Traditionally cambered and featuring a twin shape with a blunted tip and tail, the 156 was designed to be a poppy and playful jib-oriented park board. And as much as it met those qualifications, the medium-stiff flex resulted in a much more versatile ride. Stable enough to handle terrain elsewhere around the resort, and rigid enough to really hold an edge, the 156 proved to be freestyle-first deck that checked multiple boxes for our all-over-the-resort testers.
The TuckneeMSRP: $299.95
Sizes: US 7-13
Colors: Green, Black, Incense
Taking style cues from 90s-era skate shoes, the all-new Tucknee from DC pays tribute to a time when tweaking was a priority. And with its innovative asymmetrical lacing design that incorporates a velcro strap around the top of the boot, that's exactly what the Tucknee was built for. By allowing optimal medial flexion while still providing the lateral support needed, this fully adjustable, medium-flexing boot was a tweaker's dream come true. Plus, with DC's signature Aerotech ventilation system, no one had to worry about tucking these away in the trunk just to hide the stench.
The Company JacketMSRP: $349.95
The workwear-inspired styling on DC's Company Jacket seemed pretty appropriate seeing as how this coat was built to withstand a beating. Featuring industry-leading waterproofing-breathability by way of its Sympatex 45k construction, the Company proved to be the most advanced jacket DC has ever made. And with a 3M Thinsulate Type M insulation in the body and sleeves, it's safe to say that we could weather any storm in this workhorse. From the Northwest to the Northeast, this stormproof coat might just be the solution we'd long been looking for.
The Platoon BibMSRP: $229.95
Colors: Black, Incense DCU Camo
With enough pockets to supply an army, the Platoon Bib from DC established itself as a viable option for everyone from the backcountry enthusiast to the snack-and-beverage-happy park rat. But aside from offering ample options for stashing our multi-tools or a cold ones, the Platoon also came fully equipped with enough features to make this a standard issue pant. With 15K waterproofing and a modern drop crotch design, the Platoons offered protection from the elements in style, no matter where our missions led us.
