We took a break from our regularly scheduled Cold Front Tour programming this past Friday to join Vans at the House of Machines in Downtown L.A. for the world premiere of, Listen to the Eyes. Directed by legendary snowboard filmmaker, Jake Price, and shot entirely on Kodak 16mm film, Listen to the Eyes features Vans Global Snow team riders Hana Beaman, Mary Rand, and Leanne Pelosi. The film, which is largely set in the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, showcases Hana, Mary, and Leanne’s backcountry prowess in a uniquely artistic manner, complete with original soundtrack scoring by Vans Europe surf team rider Lee Ann Curren.

It was a full night, with the premiere of the film accompanied by an art installation from legendary snowboard artist, Schoph, a Dillon Ojo tribute photography show, and performances by Lee Ann Curren and LA Witch. The greater snowboard community came out in droves, with appearances by everyone from snowboarding legends Jamie Lynn and Pat Moore, to the next generation’s staples Hailey Langland and Red Gerard. Make sure to watch the trailer for Listen to the Eyes and keep a keen eye on the horizon for the full film dropping soon. We can assure you that it is definitely one of this season’s must-watch films. Congrats to Hana, Mary, Leanne, and Jake on putting together yet another incredible project.
