TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll 18: Men’s Readers’ Choice Nominees

Men’s Riders' Poll 18 Readers’ Choice Nominees

For 18 years, TransWorld SNOWboarding has polled the professional snowboarding community to find their picks for the best riders of the year. Each season, these awards are decided by the opinions of over 100 pros. While TransWorld SNOWboarding hosts the awards, the winners are truly a reflection of peer acknowledgement—the highest honor any rider can receive.

There is one award TransWorld presents each year, however, that is not decided by the pros, but by the people.

The prestigious TWSNOW Readers' Choice Awards presented by Toyota are determined by thousands of readers and fans of TransWorld SNOWboarding, and this year's Readers' Choice nominees are as follows:

Bode Merrill

Bode is among a select few riders—literally a few—diverse enough in their snowboarding skillset to ride both street and backcountry at the highest level. This season Bode partnered with filmmaker Jon Ray to create Reckless Abandon—a half hour of Merrill and crew blowing minds on a broad spectrum of terrain, culminating with a mental full part from the star of the film himself.

Scott Stevens

Two-time Readers’ Choice Award defending champion Scott Stevens' unique brand of incomprehensible riding on attainable terrain astonishes viewers year after year. This season Scott's standout part in the Union movie STRONGER. left jaws on the floor, while his iPhone movie demonstrated the all-inclusive attitude toward snowboarding and skateboarding Scott has become an advocate for. Scott is stoked. And people are stoked on him.

Travis Rice

Unquestionably one of the greatest to ever do it, Jackson-bred Travis Rice has continually pushed the backcountry freestyle bar higher for a decade now. The latest from the two-time Readers' Choice Award recipient Rice, The Fourth Phase, is a reminder of just how gnarly Travis is. And TransWorld's audience took note.

These riders received the most votes from you, the reader, but there can only be one winner! We'll be announcing the winner at this year's Riders' Poll event in Breckenridge, CO on December 9th. Be there!
