Dustin Craven, Robbie Walker, Jake Koia and friends made it happen, here are the warm ups. Big thanks to Jeff Patterson, Red Bull and Norquay for building the jump. www.banffnorquay.com for more info.

you make me wanna puke. ten guys at most hitting one jump, yet still need to waste energy by keeping a lift running. Try walking, it usually makes for a more interesting day, and you can visualize your tricks alot longer. Don’t get me wrong you guys are good at what you do, that thing is a monster, i just don’t see why the lift is neccessary.

wow, hate much?
Chairlifts are generally electrical. Which means environmentally, they’re not that bad, the least of any resorts environmental concern. Also Norquay resort, where this was filmed, is one of only two resorts in Canada (the other one is whistler) that have been working with an environmental consulting firm, UTSB. (Check out http://www.UTSB.ca) They were ranked second in Canada (of 14 major resorts) for being most Environment-friendly, protecting the wildlife, and controlling their footprint. (Number one was Whistler)
Millions of personal vehicles, Old trucks and expanding cities are killing our environment. If the best snowboarders in the world want to build a huge jump and run a chair for a few days to show the rest of us where the sport is going at the top, I think I can handle the Environmental footprint of that…as long as they carpool.
This video is fantastic. These guys are killing it! Don’t hate. I loved it.

goober … the lift ran because it was spring.
.. the inrun was huge… and they only had a 1 hour window early a.m, and just before sunset each day. I’d like to challenge you or any other rider to step to that monster with no warm up at 7am… then sit and wait the day out.. and do it again at 3:30 for the last 1/2 hour of light… The lift ran because they wanted to hit the jump more than 2 times in each day. its a big hike. hope that helps you grasp what these guys are actually doing… it was 110′ to not dying…. so probably about 4 or 5 times bigger than anything you have ever hit right???
