the reason the US "has everything" in snowboarding is because we didn't accept shit that sucks, we made it better, we created new ways of doing it, etc. the Dinosaurs Will Die approach isn't just "core" (what a stupid word), its a different way of looking at snowboarding. Maybe if you euro kids stopped self-force-feeding whatever America says is the best you'd create something new/better/different.
just because burton "invented" snowboarding, doesn't mean they get carte blanche to make whatever the hell they want without criticism. Read the comments on some of the "core" videos, they get hated on hard as hell. And that has fueled some of the most unique and good snowboarding. Besides, there's plenty of euro kids who kill it (all be it, they aren't you specifically) who don't mind some healthy criticism. In fact that one euro video teaser got more love than this.

It's not really an issue of whether Burton made snowboarding happen. They definitely paved the way, and now they are huge for good reason. It's more of how they are now starting to represent snowboarding. People are mad because Burton looked at their demographics and decided that they had lost the core market, so now most of their efforts are on the mainstream market. That's why UN.INC doesn't exist anymore - because Burton gave up on the core market. Granted, it is their size and public visibility that prevents them from doing anything to edgy.

there are tons of kids in this generation that have had everything handed to them. You are correct about that. mom n dad, Grandma and Grandpa, etc… made a easy life for them. They don't appreciate what they have. But how in the hell can you assume that every negative comment is from a rich american kid that gets everything they want. If the teasers suck… thats the kind of comments that they are going to get. The vid might be bad ass… this is just a teaser. The good teasers get good comments.

Just incase you guys forgot, a long time ago on Burton's website they showed the tre shuv over a set of stairs and had a contest to see who could come up with the best name. So that trick isnt new, its a normal board with a loose front binding.

nope, but i bet half the riders in the film would rather ride for another company. but they wouldnt say that to your face either. burton was one of the founding and developing companies in snowboarding, it doesnt mean they are the greatest, they are mediocre at best. american, canadian, european, japanese, etc., who gives a flying crap, pay attention to the stuff you like, and ignore the rest. if you ignore it, it will go away. maybe we should just ignore the letter B all together? A,C,D,E,F,G… having 25 letters in the alphabet would be better anyways, 26 sounds to imperial, go metric. now i'm tired, think i'll go to _ed.
