Jesse and Lukas Huffman, Mark Carter, Dave Short, and Mads Jonsson spend a few days ripping Gentemstick boards in Niseko before heading to Tokyo to check out TJ Brand‘s boards shaped for the steep Tenjindaira trees. There they talk to TJ Brand co-founders Yosuke Nishida, Toshihiro Fukuyama, and Mamimori Masayoshi who believe in making boards that help riders get back to the roots of snowboarding as fun and away from thinking of it as sport. They’ve even got some boards with fins on base. Brace yourself for a flashback to 80s board design.
