Mark McMorris Wins Slopestyle Gold at X Games 15

Mark McMorris Stomped his way to Gold in Slopestyle

Under sunny skies and perfect temperatures, Mark McMorris came out swinging and stomped an insane run on the massive slopestyle course to win gold at X Games 15 in Aspen, Colorado. This was McMorris’s second gold of the week as he also snagged the top spot in Big Air on Friday night.

“I think it actually made a difference with what I did on the first, second and third rails with the variations I did,” McMorris said after the event.  “I’m so blessed. This is so cool!” He said of his win.

McMorris’s technical rail switch ups and flawless jumps earned him the top score of 96. This edged Stale Sandbech into second and Sven Thorgren into third.

As with most events of the weekend, the riding was on point, but the judging was a bit questionable. Watch McMorris’s winning run and stay tuned for the full recap from Aspen.
