Marcus Kleveland’s Winning Slopestyle Run at Winter Games NZ

Norwegian phenom Marcus Kleveland starts the 2017-2018 World Cup season off strong with a win at the Winter Games NZ held at Cardrona in New Zealand this past Monday. It is no surprise after watching his winning run above. Heading into a season that will be focused around the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, it has to feel good for Kleveland to get a World Cup win under his belt. Canada’s Darcy Sharpe took second and New Zealand’s Carlos Garcia Knight took third in front of a hometown crowd.

Team USA just missed the top three, but had a strong showing with Chris Corning, Red Gerard and Judd Henkes finishing in the top ten. Jamie Anderson held it down for the women with a winning run of her own, taking first at the women’s slope event. Keep an eye out for a majority of this field to be making headlines as the 2018 Winter Olympics fast approach.
