A tribute to the roots of Colorado snowboarding, the Love Games recreates a time before there were world-class terrain parks and before snowboarders were even allowed to ride at resorts. Before most of us were even born, snowboarding was a privilege. There were no park lifts, there were no snowcats building jumps, and rails were only found in cities. Now in its 5th year, the annual Satellite Love Games is still building some of Colorado’s legendary spots found in influential videos such as Neato, Pochahontis, and Anthem. The two day event consists of a full day digging and building followed by a full day of contests across 4 different zones. For one day a year, these guys travel back in time and learn a little history about snowboarding in the Rockies.
“4 Zones, 2 Days, one Love Games to remember! Thanks to everyone who came out to dig and ride! Nothing like bringing it back to the classics, hitchhiking, good friends, and good times.. not to mention the meat hucking carnage to claim a top spot at the end of the day.
