As I know your mom’s would say, if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all. I agree Jeremy is getting on in age and even in For Right or Wrong he mentioned going out in a bang. But respect is what you need to give to veterans, if you cannot respect those that came before you who ONCE progressed the sport then you have learned nothing about this sport. You don’t become pro by throwing huge tricks day in and day out, you must have consistency such as Jeremy Jones and a great personality for which sponsors respect.
If those of you talking trash about Jeremy do you do the same about JP Walker or Mikey Leblanc?

Weazys gotta chime in here. At first I was gonna rip on Jeremy for being self centered…but then I remembered I’ve never even met the guy and never seen anything but marketing material to base my assumptions on.
But after checking out therealjeremyjones.com and watching some of his old video parts the one thing I do know is that the guy has been ripping for over a decade and has stoked me up so many times that I owe him a beer (or iced tea i guess) if I ever do meet him.
Jeremy if you’re reading this, you probably don’t care about the haters, but know that you are a legend dude and have inspired me to strap in and try something new more than any other shred out there.

jeremy jones was pushing the progression of backcountry and urban shit , whether style, size or technicality. he didnt have a preconcieved idea of what was or was not doable on a snowboard the way all of us younger shredders do, thanks to him and other rad dudes from back then, like the forum crew he rode with in true life. And we shuold feel blessed to have a shredder like him still willing to document his shredding after doing every possible fucking trick in so many different situations and so on. So before you start hating really think what its like to think of what its like to strap in and redifine the limits of snowboarding, rather than strapping in and trying to look as much like the most popular rail riding money hungry youngster, not that i dislike those dudes, theyre usually pretty coo… go ride!!

Jeremy’s biggest mistake was popularizing street rails, which brought idiots like those posting above into the snowboarding world. The guy is a charger, half the rail pros in snowboarding wouldn’t try that gap to rail he pulled. Those stairs are BIG…looked down them many times.

In an age where everyone is just rips off everyone else. the dudes (JJ & JP) who started street progression are still leading it. Every year they’re coming out with new tricks for us to copy. A back-lip down 10, 20, 30, is still a back-lip. Go through all your tight-pant hippie’s video parts this year and find one trick that hasn’t been done before, you can’t. Try front 3′ing out of a front wallride, or a SWITCH Mctwist street transfer, or gapping 40 feet to a kink. You can’t even fathom how tough those are.
Yeah they do alot of wallrides now. That’s cus 5-6 years ago when everyone else was doing boardslides, they were doing 450’s on, front and back. They’ve been there, done that, and are trying to find new things for us to copy. No one else hit that wooden kink backside, or back 2′d onto the rail garden gap.

ok first of all jp your a retard. street rails keep rich kids off the mountain? hitting street rails is free. i work all summer to buy my passes and i know they aint cheap, and if youre not riding the resort, that sled’s costing you even more. modern jibbing was created by walker and jones. i know a lot of other guys set the foundation, but they brought it to life. even if your not into the rail scene, appreciate that these guys are doing what they love. if you rip on people for that, youre into snowboarding for the wrong reasons

hey man i hate to say this because jj is an amazing rider but hes been throwing down the same tricks forw the past 5 years. no joke i just watched a edit form 2004 of him gapping over a kink on to the down part in a bs board. also the tricks he throws are just warm up tricks for the people who are pushing the sport. but then again he is old and he can stil throw some creative tricks. oh yah and karryoncutie there just peoples oppions nuthing more then what goes on in someones mind no reason to say that they need to focus on riding more cause they are just not on them selves on riders we consider to be “pros”
