GoPro Line Of The Winter Contest 2015
We have all seen how GoPro has changed the snowboarding game with riders being able to document their own riding. From POV clips of Travis Rice in Alaska, to locals at the Rail Garden in Salt Lake. Anyone, and everyone, can capture every run with multiple angle options. There’s the original Point-of-View angle, and now with all the new mounts and accessories a whole new world of creative angles has opened up. As you can imagine, thousands of rails, jumps, cliffs, chutes and couloirs are recorded each season from the helmets, poles, chests, board mounts, and RC drones of snowboarders around the globe.
TransWorld SNOWboarding is proud to announce, in conjunction with GoPro and Newschoolers, the Line of the Winter contest! One line, one shot, Grand Prize $20,000. It can be backcountry, park, street, sand dunes, whatever you want to enter. We see so many incredible videos submitted daily from around the World, we are stoked to have this outlet for all those insane clips. TransWorld SNOWboarding’s own Nick Hamilton, will be on the panel judging the entries. Plan on shooting, and submitting, your best line.
From the minds at GoPro, here’s the rundown of how this contest will work:
“We’re looking for your best line this winter! Find your line, turn on your GoPro and document the action for a chance to win the $20,000 grand prize. We’re looking for innovative filming, technical riding, great lighting and creativity.
No fancy editing needed, we’re only considering your raw GoPro clip for the contest! Skiers and snowboarders all submit to the same contest and will be judged by our esteemed panel – who will also be picking a monthly winner to win $1000 as well as the grand prize winner.”
The contest runs from December 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015. Head over to http://lineofthewinter.com for more information and an introduction to the other judges.
