Elena Hight Wins Women’s Halfpipe Finals at X Games 2017

Elena Hight came out stomping and snagged the win in women's superpipe finals at X Games 2017. This was Hight's 14th X Game appearance, and her first gold medal. The top spot on the podium has alluded Hight for years, but tonight everything came together as Elena was the only rider to stomp both of her runs.

"This is amazing, I honestly wasn't even thinking about results, I just wanted to land my run," said a surprised Elena on her win. "Thanks to the crowd for being out here, cheering and pushing us to that next level!" She continued.

Xuetong Cai took second place with her first run which was awarded a massive, questionable score of a 85.00.

Reigning gold medalist, Chloe Kim, fell on her first hit on her first run, then came back with her second attempt and stomped a safety run which launched her into third place.

Check out the winning runs below.

1. Elena Hight

2. Xuetong Cai

3. Chloe Kim
