I bet this will be his last year with a pro model. He is good, but not progressing at a swift enough pace compared to other guys who have gotten older and stayed up with the game (i.e. Joni and JP). We know his switch backside is good, just not quite as comfortable and more sketchy. I'd like to see Eddie, throw down this year, because I know he can, no one is getting younger that I've ever met.

Heres the thing guys. Take this footAGE and put your name on it, then send it in as a "sponsor me tape" to snowboard companies and watch how many snowboard companies won't give a fuck. I bet Forum wouldn't give you the time of day.
Yeah he had a couple shots that were okay, but if it was some kid from texas in that video- he wouldn't get a single sponsorship offer, the video would go on youtube and the kid would go to college thinking he didn't have " what it takes to be pro" but the fact is he just didn't know or bribe the Forum Team Manager.
But its Eddie Wall.
Snowboarding's pro level is a joke. You just have to know the right people, like Bryan Fox. For every Bode Merill or Scott Stevens there is a thousand Josh Shermans. I wish the old pros would go away and make room for all the kids doing double corks and triple kinked rails. Eddie did his thing back in the day but you know there are so many more talented kids waiting to come up.
Did you know that "sponsor videos" are a thing of the past? Send your videos to companies like Quicksliver or Nike 6.0 and you will get an automatic response that says"Whatever- we don't give a fuck how good you are. We have our OWN connections through the mountain schools and skate shops. People that work in shops and sell tons of product are the best candidates" See, money is the common theme there not your "punk athletic talent" - thats besides the fact..

Agree with some of the comments but lookeing better than he did last year (yea injured i know) backcountry stuff lookein good at the start he should concentrate more on that and leave those gay wall rides/city drops alone. Good advantage over alot of them “up and comeing kids” with no backcountry skills as most of those guys can only hit a rail anyway. Funny how u cant please everyone, but if ure smileing fuck it. Its not a good thing 2 hate brothers! Theres so many different sides to snowboarding now, I reckon the Think Thank boys have got it down, fun, creative and different. “Ain’t nothin’ but a G-string Baby!”

I am sorry but you gotta respect someone like Eddie who has been in the game "forever" and has helped snowboard progress you can't just forget about a guy that has helped build the company. I think it is great they keep him around because he is still having fun and progressing at his own rate. Helps keep snowboarding have that warm fuzzy feeling of a family which it used to have with Robot Food and nowadays you jus get all this BS and style I feel is way more important than a double cork or triple kink. Let's see some fat 180's over huge back countries that is where the true talent is

The only time I cared about getting "sponsored" was when I went broke trying to afford- ski town rent, health insurance, car insurance ect. Snowboarding is expensive and you want to crucify me for trying to get sponsored.
The second time sponsorship came up was when I wanted to do double corks. When Eddie Wall grows the nuts to try doubles ,you know Mammoth Ski Area will close the park and build him a nice step-up jump. When I tried my double corks I landed on some kid at the Canyons. I don't get private photo shoots -with controlled conditions. No, my ass has to wait in line. My ass has to wait my turn. And if the jump sucks that day, my ass just has to deal with it. Slushy take-off, flat light and bomb holes- double cork through that shit.
It's easy to get flawless footage when you have a private park phoot shoot.
And finally when I do get the footage of my double cork- who will run it? Who will care?Snowboarder Mag? Transworld?Why would they? Will it make it into a Mack Dawg video? No. It will go on youtube and be forgotten. Not connected. Not part of the fold! But Eddie is.
So it's annoying to see people milk it, like Eddie. Didn't he already have his day in the sun. It gives me a head ache. I can't tell whats going on. Is he good? Or does he just know the DC guys so well?? Is this art? Is that suppose to be athletic? Man, he has allot of time on his hands. What happened to progressive snowboarding?
In my opinion videos were best when they had a new rider doing new tricks to a new song you haven't heard before!
Not some washed up pro- doing stock tricks -to lame songs. Waste of my time.
Think Thank- you rock. Travis Rice, Bode Merill and Eero Ettala keep pushin it. You guys get me stoked to go ride and progress.

I think its cool to have legends have sections in modern DVD's like Peter Line for example, but I do see the point that you can't have a video thats 50% legend sections, you need some fresh styles to keep things moving forwards too

I've never seen someone work as hard. He came up through the ranks and put his life on the line - like so many other pros. Pros work 24/7 in cold, rain, snow and freezing weather. They work tired and injured all for the love of snowboarding. Have a great day: )

burnside, maybe if you work a little harder at snowboarding instead of wasting time posting trash, you could get sponsored. But, sponsors want people with a positive attitude too. You'll have to work on that!!!!
