What is your opinion about banana/rocker boards? I think that Darrell Mathes does the sickest nose/tail presses to date on a "normal" board, but now i see people overpressing the shaaait out off these banana/rocker boards, without breaking a sweat. Do you have an opinion on this?

Chris, I live in Newfoundland and the winter here is shit. I live 8 hours away from a legit resort, and its nothing compared to mainland hills. What is it like growing up into a hardcore snowboarder like yourself coming from a place like LA or south cali ,where snowboarding isn't a very typical thing next to skating surfing and other passtimes. I would imagine look at snowboarding in a much different way than people coming from places up north with powder snow and winter that lasts forever. In my opinion, snowboarding is not a sport. The only way I believe it to be a sport is during a type of race. Half-pipe snowboarding should not be considered a sport, or any other type of judged snowboarding competition. It is as much of a sport as figure skating. Mike Vallely once said, "Skateboarding is not a sport, its an art form." Do you agree? Is snowboarding a sport, hobby, or an art form?

Ben…im not to the status of a pro, but i have been snowboarding for a long time and have gained many lessons from it. I am goin through some shit right now and it suckkks! I had to leave my family and move a couple states away for school, got into some shit to save a homie, and now im fucked, my soul is pretty much under control by the state..but it will be over soon, so i just gotta remember that..all i gotta say is keep ya damn head up, dont care what others think of you and what your doing to acheive your own utopia.
