Fact of the matter is Clancy used to ride for all super core brands, then when he moved to jackson and blew his knee out, they all dropped him, aahem vans, quik, oakley, gnu. The guys got a family to feed, its not like hes 22, wearing tight pants and living on someones couch, cut the dude some slack, and show some respect, for a man who coulda blown up like kass and wall but didnt want that.

It’s funny you should call me a “sell out”. I used to throw that term around when I was a kid too… But if you look in the background you’ll notice that I have a Duct tape window in my truck.
But your right, I did sell my t-shirt space to a brand just like each and every other pro rider. How many pro riders do you think Never Summer,or Capita can afford to put on there team anyway. I’m just doing whatever it takes to ride all the time. But you already know that. Oh I know maybe I’ll ride for Burton, or Volcom,Vans or Nike(baby killers, all of them). If we were all so concerned with morals we wouldn’t spend our time doing something self centered like snowboarding, we’d be working at a soup kitchen or Food Not Bombs.
Come on, we are just like golfers or polo players. Rich people enjoying there good fortune.

sell out? He’s one of the best in the business. Why is it rad to be broke? It’s not 1990 anymore - there is no such thing as “core” Just because you wear tight girl jeans and a leather coat don’t make you core - makes you look like a 1980’s wannabe rock star looking for a band… or a rider on Rome… no such thing as a sell out - no such thing as core. They are all in it for the money… even you. If Shawn-o was offered 1/2 of his contract he would sign up in a minute - too bad he ain’t got the skills to get a contact…. Keep ripping Kyle - your parts in That’s It, That’s All were dope.

you call can hate all you want about UA but look at the skiing world. the best skiers are out there rockin it. bobby brown for instance. check ahmet Dadali… fucking hood as shit… rocks underarmour. best style out there. until you use it, or see what goes into their design and shit, dont talk shit.

core exists, its just not common. Whitlake, travis parker, Brian iguchi, those are some modern examples, there are others. some riders do ride for themselves on their own terms and are rewarded for it, some ride on their own terms and get lost in obscurity, but don’t claim its not there. fuck all the cash grabbing mtv wannabees, and fuck legitimizing them
