Name: Kelly Clark
Weight: 135 pounds
Home: Mammoth, California
Roots: I’m from Newport, Rhode Island, but I’ve lived in Mount Snow, Vermont for fifteen years.
Sponsors: Burton, Oakley
Stance: Regular, 20.5 inches wide with 21 degrees on my front binding and six degrees on the back. When there’s new snow, I ride two or two-and-a-half inches set back, otherwise just one-and-a-half inches back.
Board: Burton Code 151-it’s really fun in the pipe, pretty stiff with good pop, and it holds an edge well. I like bigger boards like the Burton BMC 156 for freeriding.
Consumption: Maybe five a season.
Boots: Burton Supremes-I like stiff boots, but they give me shin splints, so I put my old liners in the new shell for about a week to break them in. Then when you ride the new liners, you can get the shell tight.
Bindings: Burton Missions-I ride the mission baseplate, the old Custom backs, and CFX straps, which are comfy leather. I like the softer highbacks because they give a little when you land hard on your heels-stiff highbacks used to kill my shins, too.
Lube: When I have a pipe contest, I wax the night before and at practice.
Edges: I keep my edges sharp when I’m riding pipe.

Binding: Burton Mission
Board: Burton Code 151.5
