What The Pros Are Rockin’

Name: Jeremy Jones
Age: 26
Height: 5’8″
Weight: 150 pounds
Home: Squaw Valley, California and Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Roots: Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Sponsors: Rossignol, O’Neill, Giro, Version, Ally Co., Teton Gravity Research
Stance: Goofy, 21 inches wide, and one inch back from center. I angle my front foot at seventeen degrees and my back foot at zero degrees.
Board: 162 Jeremy Jones. I can do everything on it: park jumps, cliff drops, straight runs, and switch landings in powder. I don’t have to go back and forth between boards anymore. It’s helped me progress toward my goal of applying tricks to freeriding.
Consumption: On a thin snow year I go through about five boards because of rock damage. I only went through two boards last winter because the coverage was so good.
Lube: I wax about once every ten days.
Edges: I detune new boards three to six inches. If it’s hardpack, I keep my edges sharp and clean.
Boots: Rossignol Radian. I like a pretty soft boot for making fine adjustments and to really feel the terrain. I try to get a couple of seasons out of a pair of boots.
Bindings: Rossignol HC 3000.
Quote: “At the end of the game, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.”
