From this issue’s cover shot of MFM to our interview with Danny Kass, and in the twelve pages of Interpretations Of Style, this issue features some of the truly great and stylish riders of our time.

But what is style? There are no criteria for it, style can’t be judged, but only be perceived, and everybody’s perception of it is different.

We seem to know style when we see it, though; man, there are a handful of people in the world who can ride a snowboard-and a mountain-like it was meant to be ridden.

Innate style is a rare thing to witness: mastery that’s not mechanical, flow, positioning, power, and personality. Few riders will ever achieve this, but the one thing we all have is our own style. For better or worse, style is unique to every one of us, and the opportunity to develop it is one of the best things about being a snowboarder.
