Dachstein Glacier, Austria: Swatch TTR 4-Star Event
Andreas Wiig got his winter off to a great start last weekend, winning the Swatch TTR slopestyle event in Dachstein, Austria. Competing in this early season event against fellow Scandinavian pros like Eero Ettala and Chris Sørman, as well as upstarts like Belgian Seppe Smits and Slovenian Metevz Petek, Wiig just barely squeaked into the finals. Then of course he dropped a couple viking hammers and walked away with the win. It went like this: Backside 900º, frontside 1080º, and a backside rodeo 900º. Good work Wiig. Check the vid.

that was one lame contest. sorry mandreas. you rip, but look at the guys you beat. and a double backflip was the best trick? what a joke. the editor should have taken out that 50-50 to crooked grind and the entire girl section. shit was needless filler.

the third place guy was the best. those tricks were more tech than straight indy spins. these pros have been doing nines and tens for a few years anyways judging should evolve

I’ve got to say this, All those guys are talented riders who’ve put alot of time and effort into this sport. When you compare this performance to some other performances, It may seem a little down tempo. But really, I would save all that hatin for somethin else. These types of posts seem like little beeatches with nothin better to do than hate on people who ride ten thousand times better than the whiners themselves.
I formally challenge any of these haters to outshred myself, a lowly resort employee who sells lift tickets at a mountain in Summit County,Lives on ramen noodles and rents a room in a crowded party house. If you can make it to Any resort in summit county on a mon,tues,or thurs, I’ll give you a reason to criticize yourself. Just a friendly challenge- No hate attached.Any takers reply to this post.

i’m backing andy L on this one. all you haters hatin on andreas and the others. he’s one of the best snowboarders ever, hands down! eero did a switch double backflip for fun, he’s not serious, its called fun remember? we all started for the same reason, because its fun. if all you retards on here just want to be bitter and bitch all the time you should just quit and start skiing.. that will give you something to be bitter about.
