TransWorld SNOWboarding’s TransAm Series Takes Over Bear Mountain This Weekend

The TransAm is not your traditional snowboard contest. During the course of a regularly scheduled USASA event, the TransAm judges give golden tickets to approximately 35 USASA competitors that invite them to the special TransAm jam session that afternoon. The selected riders then get to session the TransAm rails and the Smith limo for 45 minutes while the judges check out their moves and narrow down the top three finishers.

The lucky winners get loaded down with gear from TransWorld SNOWboarding, Smith Optics, Dakine, Ride Snowboards, Zumiez and High Cascade Snowboard Camp as well as a handmade trophy from TWS co-founder Larry Balma

This is the last stop in the series before the finals, which are being held during the USASA Nationals from April 1-10, 2005 at Copper Mountain, Colorado.

Thanks to all the TransAm partners for stepping up to support grassroots snowboarding. Check out their Web sites and be sure to check back right here for the results of this weekend’s showdown.
