January 29, 2005 — On a bluebird day with temperatures reaching a balmy 28 degrees (after several days in the single digit range, mid 20′s seems balmy) the second of four Main Event competitions took place at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH. The setup was a big air booter into a virgin 30 foot wall ride constructed by Mike King and the Loon Park Crew. The amateur competitors had the option of a slightly smaller jump into a battleship box.

Burton ripper, Yale Cousino was absolutely slaying the competition, stomping large 720′s and successfully executing a back lip across the wall ride. Shane Fortier didn’t give up his first place standing too easily though. He threw downall day but fell just short by half a point behind Yale in the final tally. Yale took home the cash and the Gravity Games Slopestyle invite!

Big up to the Main Event sponsors, Burton, Flow, Mission Six, NOTB shop, RideNH.com and Circus Media (the guys who built the web site).
