Has anyone else spent the majority of every snowboard video made in the last three years cringing and thinking how not fun it would be to hit a 200-foot gap or a handrail with ten kinks and a death drop on one side, all for the sake of “progress? What’s next? Spike pits and alligator infested motes? When I popped Misschief Production’s … As If into my DVD player last winter, it was like my mom handed me some tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and told me everything was going to be okay. I spent the entirety of the video with a big dopey grin on my face as I muttered, “F—k yeah! about seven hundred times. The girls were killing it, but there wasn’t a sense of needing to defy death in every shot in order to have a good video, which is possibly one of the most progressive moves a production company has ever made.
Obviously, I wasn’t the only one who felt this way, as I’ve heard more talk about the premiere of Misschief’s newest endeavor, Ro Sham Bo, than any other video this year. It’s going to be held on September 6th at the Oakley headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California. Lucky for all of you, it’s open to the public, so grab your friends and gas up the car, because it’s going to be one hell of a video, not to mention the most heavily babe-populated party in snowboard history.
