Mack Dawg Productions premiered both Follow Me Around and People this past weekend in the snowboard hubs of Vancouver, and Seattle. They all went off in varying degrees and I could spend a few pages telling you how fun it was, but I figured I’d let other people do that. On our way to pick up Patrick McCarthy before the Vancouver premiere, Shaun Mckay and I decided that we’d ask pro snowboarders and people with edgy haircuts what they thought of the movie. So here are their opinions, and remember, not everyone makes sense at these kinds of events!

Oh and being only a wanna-be journalist, I forgot to get the names of the edgy haired patrons. Sorry.

“It makes me want to snowboard all the time! All the time! And then wait there’s more! I’d also like to go forty thousand dollars into debt and I’m gonna by a pass instead of working. —Edgy Haircut from Vancouver #1.

“Radical … can I say radical? Radical, that’s all I have to say!—Shaun McKay

“I love the music, tunes were good! You know what, the first thing I thought was like, holy sh-t they’re wearing, like, sweatshirts and pants. I’m from Alberta where it’s like negative forty! F—kin’ rad!—Edgy Haircut from Vancouver #2.

“The, uh, rodeo 10 was sick! I got ripped off, I have a real mustache that I’ve been growing for like a month and a half or something. It’s real dirty! And, uh, oh well. The videos were both sick, first one especially, the camera work and everything was rad. I loved it. You guys did good, keep up the good work!—Edgy Haircut from Seattle.

“Dude the videos were awesome! Patrick McCarthy, Shaun Mckay, Robbie Sell, Louie Fountain, John Kooley, who else … Maybe Bry … who? Bryan Fox? Bryan Fox, never heard of him. Syke! Got a pin, I wear his face on my chest everyday I go snowboarding! Of course I know Bryan Fox!”

“But yeah it was sweet, it’s always a good time reconnecting with the homeys. McKay Killed it, Pat killed it. It’s fun. Lance killed it. Pretty much, Seattle is the best town in the world, so come here. And come to our video premiere, cause they’re the best. Yeah, so that’s what we got. What do you got? You got nothing (laughter)!—Jesse Burtner.

“Yeah I liked the movies. And there’s a lot of people here so it’s fun!—Fletcher’s Girlfriend, who happened to have an edgy haircut in Portland.

“There was a premiere and it was awesome, and it was only $16 to get in! And to sum it all up, they were two of the most amazing videos I’ve ever seen!—Darrel Mathes.

“Time Warp. Nobody cares about you unless you have first or last part. Video premieres are for single guys. Wear comfortable shoes. Don’t eat biscuits and gravy two days in a row. Don’t mix drink types. Duke biography coming soon. Watch out for some creepy guy in stripes. Give out fake phone numbers.—Robbie Sell’s scattered thoughts on the weekend in an iChat conversation the next day.
