The TTR Qualifying Event the ‘Nokia Snowpark Tour,’ held in Lecha. Alberg, Austria over the weekend (12 /13th March), marked the final showdown of a ten stop Snowpark tour which, with its innovative design concept, brought competitors to the best Snowparks in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, discovering the ,who’s who’ in next generation Freestyle Snowboarding, and identified TTR Pro Series top players fro next season.

The two-day final was held in Lech’s perfectly prepared ‘Boarderland Snowpark,’ at which forty qualified snowboarders had gathered from the ten stop park series. 16-year old German, Elias Elhardt, last years tour winner, was fresh from his dominance at last weeks TTR Pro Series event ‘Billabong World Junior Pro,’ and with his current riding level was sure be a strong favourite to take his second title. A win earned the rookies, who rode both for individual success and teams titles, the ‘Nokia Snowpark Tour’ most impressive rider title and ‘Nokia Snowpark Tour’ teams title. Furthermore, the most impressive rider would be awarded the first 2006 ‘Ticket To Ride’ to next seasons TTR Pro Series event in Leysin, Switzerland ‘The Nescafé Champs-Leysin.’

And with a three run qualification format for all teams participants, and a further two run super final for the best three riders, the event ran smoothly, bringing a season of travel, competitiveness, comradeship and team spirit together, and in cloudless conditions, delivering yet another TTR Qualifying Event success story. The winner? Austria’s new rising freestyle star Manuel Bernert.
