This is gross. Can someone tell me why kids like this and the Dingo and popular? And how did they all of a sudden become the spokes people for our sport? Why are we letting these a$$holes ruin our sport. We should excommunicate this little prick and anyone else doing dumb $hit like this. Lets focus the media onto real snowboarders and what snowboarding is really about.
This is bad for Louie and bad for our sport. Although I frankly don’t care about his career because he obviously doesn’t care about it either. Where’s Todd Richards? Todd are you going to let this happen? Please cut him from the team. Or at least make him wear a full Omatic sequined suit or something so we all realize its just a big sarcastic joke. Enjoy the sport, who cares what people are doing to represent it. as long as i’m still having fun on my snowboard which i dont think will change by louie doing dancing with the stars then I’m good to go and so should everyone else on this site. I don’t know if anyone has noticed but snowboarding is mainstream, and will always be mainstream and bitching about it on a forum wont change a thing. If you wanna be miserable because the sport that we all love so much is being noticed by people outside of the snowboarding community then your priorities are fucked. be stoked on shredding who cares about all that other shit , good luck louie

I agree with who ever thinks this is great for the sport. Obviously some of you who aren’t digging his appearance on DWS are looking at it from a rider perspective. But when you look outside the box and realize how much P.R Louie will get out of this-not to mention the entire snowboarding industry itself, you’ll realize just how great and effective it is for the sport. I guarantee you 3/4 of the cast had or have no idea who Louie was until they watched his contestant tape. Big ups, and take that shit for all of us who wish to be alongside one of those sexy broads. Fuck it! Make that money while you can, it could all be over after the next jump. I blew my knee out 2 seasons ago and it hasn’t been right since. Surgery and injuries are a part of the sport and limit the time you can make the money from just snowboarding. What’s a 30 year old weed smokin, no college or work experience ex boarder gonna do for money when all the team manager jobs are filled and you didn’t save shit when you were livin the lifestlye? You are right, not many people have taken the time to learn about snowboarding and how much talent is involved with it. Most snowboarders work very hard at their sport and with Louie's name out there in a different venue, it should bring more attention to the sport, maybe more people will become fans of snowboarding. Don't fault him for trying something new outside his comfort zone. Kudoos Louie!!

i just want to state to all those haters out there: snowboarding is not a counter culture sport. it is going mainstream whether you like it or not. with the faces of our sport being endorsed by visa, volvo, target, nike, etc it is clear that the sport has become mainstream. now the point is you can either sit on your ass, worry about your image and keep hating…or you can just stop caring and snowboard for fun..the sport is all about just doing what you want and getting stoked..not about how you appear to the public. and think about this: with the sport becoming more mainstream, more money will flow into the industry. this opens up tons of new opportunities for all those riders trying to make it..so why is that a bad thing? in my opinion they couldnt have chosen a better rider than louie to do this..hes still true to himself and he puts out a good image for the sport. yeah hes a stoner..yeah this that and the other thing that you all have to say…but honestly..stop crying about it and go snowboard. i feel its a good thing..so with that said, go louie.
