Teton Village, Wyoming, March 7, 2005 — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort welcomes the United States Snowboard Association Evolution Tour for three days of competition. JHMR is excited and pleased to host this event for the first time, which is bringing over 120 competitors and their families here for the week.

This event is scheduled for March 11, 12 and 13. Teams will be arriving as early as Wednesday, March 9 for training. Friday, March 11 the slope style competition will take place in the terrain park, Saturday’s competition will be in the half pipe and Sunday, March 13 JHMR will be hosting it’s first ever boarder cross on Moran off of Apres-Vous Charlift.

The Events Tent will be home base for this event holding registration, lift tickets, team captain’s meetings and awards. The registration fee is $35 per day. Every participant must have a USSA membership to compete in the events and an FIS license to compete in the boarder cross. The cost of a regional USSA license is $40.00 and a Provisional FIS license is $10.00.

All competitors under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian sign a liability release. All competitors must be registered for the competition to ride the terrain park Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11. The half pipe will be closed to public Friday, March 11 from 1:00-3:00 pm and all day Saturday, March 12. Moran run will be closed from Togwotee Traverse to South Pass Traverse from Sunday, March 6 through March 13 to construct and hold the boarder cross event. There will be grooming equipment working on the course during the day.

Spectators are welcome, there will be many phenomenal young athletes here for the weekend. All of the competitors are traveling from across the United States and have competed in USSA events prior to this event. However, this may be their first visit to Jackson Hole and we want to ensure a great experience.
