If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would you go? Right now I would like to go Smithers, Northern BC area and ride the sickness there.
Favorite Terrain: Long powder runs, backcountry, real mountains, halfpipe, quarter pipes, drops. Whatever, but mostly cruising backcountry lines.
First Time: Wintergreen Mt. near Calgary. My friend & I rented boards from “The Snoboard Shop” & had a lesson at 10am, but the hill opened at 9:00am We took the bus out. By lesson time we were turning and spinning out, but then we learned it better.
Is snowboarding ready for the Olympics? Sure. Too bad it’s a judged discipline. I mean the pipe is the only real cool event they will have. I don’t think it changes much as far as how real riders will look at the sport. It just shows it off a bit to the public.
If you didn’t snowboard what would you be doing right now? Right now I would like to go Smithers, Northern BC area and ride the sickness there.
What do you do when you’re not snowboarding? Right now, surf, skate, travel…
Who most influences your style? Terje. All the Whistler and Lake Louise crew I ride with. Scott Newsome, Peter Line, etc.
Who do you ride with the most? GT, News, Derek Heidt, Josh, Kyle W., Danny Lawrence, Al, Mikey, Waylon Edwards, Drae Glover, etc. Whoever. It’s not hard to find people who push you and are so fun to ride with in Canada.
If you were going on a trip and could only take five things with you (other than a change of clothes and your snowboard) what would those things be? Organizer, money, toothbrush, avalanche gear, powder.
