Alaska in mid winter? Yep we went and checked it out. Scotty Lago, Eero Niemela, Pat McCarthy with Joe Carlino filming for the new TransWorld Movie Get Real out in Sept 09. I knew the Mountains were going to be big, and the Chugach Range did not disappoint. Our luck was all over the place, we got snow, then sun but with it wind (a lot of wind). We did get to fly 6 out of 8 days up there so here’s a sneak peak from our trip, look out for the full story and online videos next year in TransWorld. Don’t miss an issue subscribe Here

this is by far true Alaska. hit up Anchorage town and do some street jibbing. it’s a blast if you can find the right things.

Heli trips are definitely expensive, check out the H20 site for all the info on going on a Heli Boarding trip (link above). Cat Boarding is a little less expensive but is more limited to where you can go than flying around in a Heli, can make a big difference when looking for the best Snow.

anyone have suggestions on what type of board to ride… would you limit yourself to a directional powder board if you have the chance to jump off huge cornices, wind lips and other natural features? how much bigger would you go in board size for an AK trip.

We got the best deals ever this year this season!

Yo want some tail in case you land switch off that cornice. Depending on what size board you’d ride in the park I would say at least a 4-5 cm bigger board for an AK trip

…The idea behind our Off-Piste Combination Course is to work on both your own Performance Off-Piste as well as seeking out some great routes and off piste ventures in the selected resort that the course is run in
