If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would you go? Too many good places to name but Crested Butte on good conditions.
Favorite Terrain: Everything
First Time: Christmas Day 1987. It was on a snow/sand board. We didn’t have enough snow so I went sandboarding on the sand dunes.
Is snowboarding ready for the Olympics? It is not ready now, it won’t be ready later. There seem to be two groups of snowboarders, those who want to ride and those who want to compete. Hopefully the Olympics will not take the fun out of snowboarding and make it too serious.
If you didn’t snowboard what would you be doing right now? Finished with college and looking for or already in a bad job.
What do you do when you’re not snowboarding? Recreating skateboarding, motocrossing, bowling, rope surfing.
Who most influences your style? Not one in particular, just lots of small things from all of the people I ride with.
Who do you ride with the most? My roommates and close friends.
If you were going on a trip and could only take five things with you (other than a change of clothes and your snowboard) what would those things be? My laptop computer so I can watch movies, listen to music, and write stuff. My skateboard to roll around on, my toiletry case to keep clean, camera so I will remember the places I have been to when I am old and decrepit. Books to read.
