With over 500 spectators turning up despite the fog, rain and wind, the 4th Annual Cattleman’s Rail Jam went down at Australia’s Mt Buller on Saturday night.
The Jam is Australia’s premier rail event, with some of the best riders competing for a $5000 prize pool on the 13 stair rail in the Village Square.
For the second year running, the Jam was won by Robbie Walker, with second place going to 16 year old ripper Jye Kearny.
The pair also wowed the crowd with the first synchronized backflip down the set seen at the event.

Burton employed a pro photog more known for his surf and skiing photography. Not sure if these shots are his aswell, but the earlier post/feature has some nice pics.

remember that its a comp and its nightime. photogs dont get the space to set up strobes properly and have to work from angles they generally wouldnt if it was a freeride sesh. but in saying that, his choice to use a fisheye on most photos probly wasnt the greatest. I probly would of shoot half fisheye/half 35mm for this

I did these shots, reason I used fisheye most was that my other lenses got fog inside them. Its a fast comp and you can’t be running back to your bag, you need to carry your gear so temperatures screw lenses.
Also, it was windy as, so in the first 5 minutes my flash tripods got blown over and my shoes broken so I was down to one flash fired by hand.
