Photographer and rider Bud Fawcett is a part of snowboarding history and present. He took his first pow run at Donner ski ranch with Terry Kidwell, Shaun Palmer, and Tom Sims in 1985, and he continues to be a big part of snowboarding, working with Palmer Snowboards and teaching the next generation of snowboard photographers at the High Cascade Photo Workshops. He assembled this slideshow for the workshop, but it’s too much of a gem to not share with the world. Kick back and enter full screen mode to enjoy this to the fullest.

this was like watching a slideshow of someone you really loved at a funeral. how awesome and fun the person used to be in their prime. leaving out any of the pictures of them before they died, when they started to get old and boring.

Hey! The first? I was tearing out free day rental coupons from Powder Magazine (low budget) for the original WinterStick in the late 1980’s when Burton was a plank of wood with a rope off the front to hold onto. No riding on lifts, so we had to hike and no packed riding due to the skeg on the bottom. And I still wasn’t the first - sooooooo….

…The idea behind our Off-Piste Combination Course is to work on both your own Performance Off-Piste as well as seeking out some great routes and off piste ventures in the selected resort that the course is run in
