I’m a huge Nike fan, but considering what they could have done, and the hype surrounding everything I must say I’m disapointed. It’s the first year and I have yet to talk to anyone that’s actually tried them, but on looks alone I’m not a fan I’ve what I’ve seen.
They will be sick look out for the Grenade X Nike collab..
And other Collaberations with smaller core brands.
I can see a Tech 9 coolab on the horizon and all those wannabe gangsta shreds will rock em.
ect..
Obviously Nike arnt going to show their top game until their product is released.
Agreed these boots look kinna wack.
But there will be a whole lot of limited colour ways, Wait till they stick Bubbles in em. comfort +
Hey does anyone know where you can get these boots? I have looked everywhere for them and can’t find them. If you could let me know that would be great.
EB just got them last friday, 3 different mens boots and a few womens, these things are insane. Not bulky like you might think. We can’t sell them online but if you live near boston, come visit.
try them on and if tell me they fit good and I will know for a fact you are lying….just tryed them on and whoa, super super narrow and short - not to mention you need a phd to figure out how to lace them. oh well, kids will still line up for them to be “different” i guess…
I did try them on, you must have a wide foot. I guess I don’t. They are not harder then any other boot to lace, unless you ride a boa, or some speed lace, so go easy on the lying claim. They do run a little small, but whatever, get a 1/2 size up. Sounds like you are a hater
Snowbird…..you have a wide foot or a hoof for feet. I tried them on and the boots are extremely comfortable and on point. They are by far one of the most comfortable boots I have ever tried on (riding since 91′) and I used to go through 2-3 pairs of boots a season and have ridden everything. They are traiditonal Lace Up boots, which I am a big fan of (don’t like the gadgets f Boa, Speed Lace, etc). Too bad you have a Hoof and are such a hater. The Truth hurts eh?
FO SHO, my homie is a sponsered rider for Burton and like i was tellin the idiot above, my boy said they were the most comfortable boot he’s ever put on…and he’s a fat foot!
Snowboarding boots are simply Nike’s current ploy to take over the world. First skate, now snow. Nike is clearly a company who has has taken steroids once or twice. This may make them strong, but it also means they have a small dick. BItches think they know how to method, so heres to you, Nike: Suck my girly balls. =D
Yeah man the model def looks a little beat. At least those kids who wear the absurdly bright colors can now have a boot to match their garanimal style.(garanimal= those pj’s that match) anyways if there more comfortable than the current DC ‘09 park boot i needa try them cause dc did a good job this year.east coast
Think about the culture and future of snowboarding - not how “dope” the boots look. Nike are there to profiteer on the backs of core, independent brands who do not have the financial and marketing power to compete with Nike. They might be able to make good quality products because they have a lot of experience in product development, but it also means that the subculture of snowboarding that I’m sure the majority of you love will be ironed out and abused if everyone starts lapping up the fake marketing blurb that Nike have started waffling on about.
been riding since 1993, been through dozens of so called “core” boots these are the most comfortable boots I have ever laced up. dumb kids will always talk crap without even giving them a try.
i got news for you with out nike our skateshop wouldnt be around they actually support their locals. not like some fallen foot wear or so called (independent brands) which you speak of. there the companys that suck kids in to thinking if i wear tight pants and skate in a circle, il get sponsored.and sell there shit in ccs. I come from both ends in skateboarding and snowboarding and i can say if anything nike is a blessing to snowboarding. Its funny to think that the real independent compaines are the ones doing collabs with them and the wack mountain shops cant even get an account with them. Theres a reason for that, Its cause they support your local shop and you should too. in a few years you will think differently about nike when you finally realize the people who actually snowboard are the ones rockin nike not the kids who are wearing dumb thousand dollar flannel jump suits.
