Oceanside, CA – January 13, 2009 – TransWorld Media, a division of Bonnier Corporation, is proud to announce that it has partnered with the X-Dance Film Festival to honor the finest films in adventure and action sports. The world-class event has established itself as the premier festival for action sports movies, attracting the best filmmakers, athletes, and icons in action sports culture. The five-day event runs concurrently with the Sundance Film Festival (January 16-20) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival brings together cutting-edge bands, top DJS, entertainment executives, action sport industry bigwigs to honor the heroes from each sport and the filmmakers who tell their stories. X-Dance includes public screenings of top action sports films from industry leaders like Matchstick, VAS, Teton Gravity Research, Quiksilver, Red Bull, Altnerna Films, Poor Boyz, Oakley, TransWorld, and Billygoat Productions, as well as noteworthy work by emerging talent and world premieres.

Friday, January 16th. 8:25 PM - Screening of TransWorld SKATEboarding’s “And Now”. Following is a 15 minute Q&A session with director/producers Jon Holland and Chris Ray. OFF BROADWAY THEATER, 272 S. Main St. Salt Lake City, UT 84101
Friday, January 16th 10 PM - Opening Night Party presented by TransWorld. BROADWAY BISTRO- next to
Off Broadway Theatre. 280 S. Main St, Salt Lake City. Starting shortly after screening of And Now.
Sunday, January 18th, 4:00 PM - Film Discussion Panel at the Off Broadway Theatre. TransWorld panelists include TransWorld SNOWboarding’s Director of Video and Photography, Nick Hamilton, and TransWorld SURF’s, Editor in Chief, Chris Cote, and Bonnier Corporation’s VP of Media, Michael Starobin.
Tuesday, January 20th 7:00 PM - Awards Ceremony. TransWorld SURF Editor in Chief Chris Cote scheduled to MC.
